Are there good sources of generic HP ink?
Yes. Finding them though, that’s another story. I’ve been using generic HP inks for the last 6 years and I can tell you that I’ve tried them all.

You see, the majority of generic HP inks are created in China. This is not negative I do not guess, but apparently they do not honestly care that considerably about print excellent too considerably. They appear to style their inks to be for temporary use only. I dunno.
Heres my point…
HP printers, at least all of them that Ive ever observed, all use a pigmented black ink. They do not use dye based blacks in hardly any of their printers unless you are talking about a qualified series printer like a Designjet.
Most generic inks that are advertised for HP printers, are in truth dye based black inks. They do not even generate a pigment black ink more than there for refill kits or compatible cartridges for HP printers. I do not know it. Most HP generic inks are remanufactured cartridges anyways, so you would feel that they could come up with a pigment based black ink for these cartridges.
What Ive located is that if your going to get a high quality generic ink or cartridges for your an HP printer, you have got to order them from a supplier that makes use of American created inks in their cartridges. This is not so convenient to acquire and most suppliers do not even advertise the source of their inks. That is what you have to have to do even though.
